Day One - Louisville, KY

Day One

I got off to a great start this morning at 5 am! Final bags were loaded and I managed to get Jackson in her carrier after only 5 tries! I have a short video clip of her reaction to being in the car:

Thankfully, after about two hours she calmed down. We had a nice ride the rest of the time, though when we stopped for gas the first time, Jackson thought the ride was over and was very disappointed when we got back on the road.

Traffic was light the whole way and the weather was clear except for about 10 minutes of rain when I got to Louisville. Here are a few photos I took along the way:

As you can see there was plenty of blue sky and asphalt! I tried to sing along to some music, but apparently for Jackson, my singing is even more torture than the car ride. I have decided to listen to the "Dearest Place on Earth" series again while I make this trip, to help remind me of my purpose for this move.

Well, I hope this post was a bit entertaining and I promise to have more pictures tomorrow (confession time: I forgot to charge my camera and the battery died!!!).

Jackson doesn't sound too happy about being taken cross country!
